A flintlock musket, Algeria, dated 1842. Long barrel with smooth bore in 14 mm calibre with fixed sights. The rear third of the barrel is decorated with raised silver flowery vines. The tang is dated "1258" (= 1842). European flintlock with floral engraving (mechanism defective). The wooden full stock is lavishly decorated with (stamped) silver and has eight silver barrel bands with floral engraving. Wooden ramrod. Leather sling and lock cover attached. Length 170 cm.
