9 August 2012 - Tucson, Arizona- SH-2 Seasprite helicopters in storage at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (309 AMARG) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona. The 309th AMARG is the central storage facility for all excess U.S. military aircraft and covers more than 400 acres. Aircraft are stored in a variety of levels ranging from temporary, which can be brought back to air worthiness quickly, long term storage and those marked for destruction or to be broken apart for parts.
