This Filipino meatloaf or embutido may look like your normal steamed rolled meat mixture but you’ll have to taste this recipe to discover it’s got a special ingredient added in. It’s got many of the usual embutido ingredients except for one: evaporated milk. Adding the evaporated milk makes this embutido recipe so much creamier, and you won’t want to make it any other way!

Creamy Embutido Ingredients
- 1 kilogram pork
- 1/2 Cup sweet pickle relish
- 5 clove Garlic minced
- 1 Small red onion minced
- 3/4 Cup raisins
- 1 medium carrot minced
- 1/2 Cup evaporated milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 Small red and green bell peppers
- 1 Cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 3 large hard-boiled eggs quartered
- 1 230-gram can Vienna Sausage sliced
- 1 227-gram block Cheese cut into strips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground pork, pickle relish, raisins, carrot, evaporated milk, bell peppers, eggs, and bread crumbs. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Brush foil with oil, and place 1 cup of the pork mixture. Evenly flatten the mixture. Place the Vienna sausage slices, cheese sticks, and hard-boiled eggs in the middle part. Gently roll the mixture into a log then tightly tie ends of the foil.
- Steam for 1 hour then set aside to cool. Slice diagonally. Serve or fry until golden then serve with the dipping sauce of choice.
