I don't know where I was, but somehow I did not know about this product--Unbleached Self-Rising Flour from King Arthur Flour. I would have purchased this product long ago and regularly. Now, I will. It makes great biscuits and other baked goods, which we so enjoy. More flavor is there and it is exactly what we need for these many recipes.

I recommend this to everyone.

I love this product - it is a superior ingredient from a brand I trust. I'm so glad it is available in-store! I bake with it often.

Great quality

I love King Arthur Flour!  I had never bought the self-rising flour before.  I have made pancakes and biscuits with it with great results.  The King Arthur Flour website has recipes for this flour.  Since my purchase, Walmart has removed the 5 lb. bag from their website.  If I continue to want self-rising flour, I will use the recipe for how to make it myself from the "King Arthur Flour 200th Anniversary Cookbook" (also for sale on Walmart.com).  I highly recommend this cookbook.  It is a great resource.  This flour is not for making yeast bread.

King Arthur Flour is GREAT!

Very disappointed in getting this. It had a hole in the bag from getting punched by box of sweet in low or pancake mix, I forgot, At least I hope thats what did it. Flour also in the bottom of box. This needed to be put in plastic bag like they do other stuff. It the first in a long time that something was messed up. They been doing good.

it makes me lazy

I've  been  making homemade biscuits for years, and I can say for a fact this flour doesn't work the same as your typical self rising flour. Flavor is different (I don't care for it at all), and the biscuits came out so much denser than they usually do. Maybe it could work for some recipes as a substitute, but be warned it may not come out how you are used to!

Flavor and consistency are different

I like King Arthur self-rising  flour and have used it for a long time, however, I have never paid  $20.00 dollars for a 5 lb. bag of it?  I have bought it for much, much less.  I'm aware of the rising cost of groceries, but this is WAY over the top for me and I would imagine I'm not the only one.
