AFL star set to ‘make Home And Away debut’ as rumours swirl about his new role on show
A POPULAR Aussie rules footballer could swap his career on the field for one in TV, according to reports.
Adelaide Crows star Taylor "Tex" Walker, 33, is rumoured to appear on Australian soap Home And Away.
Radio host Laura "Loz" O'Callaghan made the shock claim on Triple M's Adelaide breakfast show Roo, Ditts and Loz on Wednesday morning after spotting a hint on a fan page.
She said: "I think they're going to get him on. I don't know whether it's a cameo as himself or if he's any good... whether he's going to be Irene's toy boy.
"I saw something on the Home And Away page, they met him... they were catching up and hanging out... with the people from Home And Away.
"Roo, trust me, there's something going on."

It comes after Walker was seen hanging out with actor Stephanie Panozzo, who plays musician Eden Fowler on the show, at the weekend.
The footy star also recently named Home And Away as his favourite TV binge on AFL talk show The Front Bar.
Many other athletes have floated through Summer Bay over the years, including Lleyton Hewitt, Ian Thorpe, and boxer Kostya Tszyu, along with celebrities as famous as Ed Sheeran, Sia, and Jessica Mauboy.
Walker, from Broken Hill, was drafted in 2007 and had a breakout year in 2011 where he kicked 63 goals.

He played his 200th game for the Crows and became Adelaide's all-time leading goalkicker in 2020.
Off field, Walker and his wife Ellie had their first child Hugo James in November 2019, second son Louis Jack in January 2021, and third child Harriet in October 2022.
Home And Away star Ada Nicodemou left fans horrified last month after sharing footage of her face looking bloody and bruised.
She quickly explained the injuries were not real but created using makeup for a scene where she was kidnapped and locked up for days without food, water, or plumbing.
Meanwhile, Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts on the show, shocked fans with images of real injuries she sustained during a dog walk.
The 70-year-old revealed she "face planted" on the road in an accident which left her "shaken up".
The actress said she fell while taking her daughter's dog for a stroll.
