FADER_8 is a hackable bank of 8 motorized faders. It runs on 5V through a DC barrel connector and has USB and Ethernet connections.

Our open source firmware for FADER_8 is called FADER_X. It includes a handy webpage, hosted from the FADER_8, that you can access to change its behavior. It’s available on Github, along with instructions for updating and configuring it.

With FADER_X firmware, FADER_8 can control (and be controlled by) all sorts of devices, including:

  • USB MIDI for applications such as vMix

  • QLab (UDP OSC)

  • ETC Eos (TCP OSC)

  • X32/M32 (UDP OSC)

  • DiGiCo (UDP OSC)

Since it’s built on the Teensy 4.1 development board, it’s possible to write new custom software to make FADER_8 behave *exactly* how you want.

Includes

  • FADER_8 Control Surface

  • Teensy 4.1 preinstalled and programmed with FADER_X firmware

  • 5V 4A power supply with US-style plug

  • 3’ Micro USB Cable
