Camel's Dribble (Baba de Camelo)
2012-03-06
Ingredients (10 servings)
- 1 can of cooked or uncooked sweet condensed milk
- 5 eggs
Instructions (Time: 3-6 hours)
If you can find cooked sweet condensed milk in your supermarket then you can skip this step, otherwise you’ll need to boil your uncooked can. If you have a pressure cooker it will need only an hour to cook, but if you haven’t got one then it should take 2h30. Remember to let the can cool down before opening it.
Separate the egg yolks form the egg whites.
Add the cooked sweet condensed milk to a pan.
Mix for a bit until you get a liquid mixture. Beat the egg yolks and add them to the pan.
Mix well for 4-5 minutes until you have thick mixture. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. If you find that your mixture has bits of condensed milk that aren’t dissolved, strain the mixture into the bowl instead.
Beat the egg whites until they’re stiff and add it to the mixture.
Fold the egg whites carefully from the bottom of the bowl to the top.
You should have a fluffy and bubbly mixture. Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Enjoy.
