- UK News. What's wrong with Kate Middleton? A journalist from The Times answers: She looks terrible
AKate Middleton lookalike has hit back at rumors that she doubled for the Princess of Wales during a trip to a farm shop.
Middleton has not been spotted since her abdominal surgery in January, and there have been controversies aplenty surrounding his 'disappearance'. The conspiracy theories were not exactly shut down when Kate posted a family picture that had been heavily doctored, something she later admitted to and apologized for.
Since then, footage has emerged of Middleton visiting a local farm shop with husband William, and even that wasn't enough to convince people that she was back on her feet.
Some people have even claimed that the princess has died and that her lookalike, Heidi Agan, who has made money from being a lookalike for the last decade, has taken her place to avoid suspicion.
But speaking to The Mirror, Agan rejected those claims. "There has obviously been some speculation about whether it was Kate and William in that footage and stills," she said.
"In fact, my own social media has gone crazy as people think it is me, but I know it is not. I was at work at the time so I know that is not me. I 100 percent believe that it is Kate Middleton and William in that video.
"So she is alive, and we can be sure about it. It has all gone too far now."
Lookalike defends privacy from the Palace
Many people have criticized the royal family's decision to be very quiet over Middleton's surgery back in January, deciding not to provide regular updates on her recovery.
But lookalike and super fan Agan believes the Palace were right to respect the princess's wishes. She added: "If the surgery is something that she wanted to keep private, then they [Kensington Palace] are right not to share more details."
