Update: Woman struck and killed by 18-wheeler in Waco, identified

Waco police said the woman was found on I-35 near the Northbound exit of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

WACO, Texas — A woman is dead after allegedly being hit by an 18-wheeler on I-35 in Waco, according to the Waco Police Department.

The woman has been identified as 28-year-old Allison Neidig of Waco.

Waco PD said officers responded to an auto-pedestrian crash at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Officers reportedly arrived near the Northbound exit of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and found the woman in the roadway.

Police said the woman died on the scene.

The woman's next of kin has been notified, according to police. Her identity has not been released at this time.

Waco PD said part of I-35 was shut down for around three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

Waco PD said an investigation is currently ongoing. No further information has been released at this time.
