Çavaria is a movement, an advocacy organisation, and a centre of expertise. Çavaria's mission is to advocate for the well-being, equal rights and equal opportunities of LGBT, transgender, and intersex persons in all aspects of daily life. Their vision is a supportive and inclusive society with a broad view of sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, and gender characteristics. They achieve this by lobbying governments and developing projects.
Çavaria is also the Flemish umbrella organisation of LGBTI+ associations. More than 135 associations spread across Flanders and Brussels are affiliated with Çavaria, and there are provincial rainbow houses that act as a provincial umbrella. Çavaria offers them substantive and practical support.
