As I walked through the beautiful Windward College halls on the island of Oahu, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and inspiration. The smell of paint and canvas wafted through the air, and I knew I was in the right place. I enrolled in oil painting classes and quickly discovered that my passion for art had just begun.
I learned techniques that enhanced my work, one, in particular, is called the "squinting technique" this allows you to see and differentiate the contrasting colors from dark to light. This technique opened my eyes to a new world of possibilities, and I began experimenting with different styles and techniques. As I progressed, I fell in love with painting, and with each brushstroke, I felt like I was expressing a piece of my soul.
Growing up on the beautiful island of Oahu, I was surrounded by the natural beauty that took my breath away. Everything about Hawaii was mesmerizing from the lush green mountains to the crystal-clear waters of the ocean. I desired to capture and project that same energy onto each canvas to create a beautiful and magical world.
