Too Smart 2 listen too Cute to Care
Kathryn Naomi Dichero, 91, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Houston. She was born on December 3, 1928 in Devine, Texas to J Spurgeon and Katherine Nabors.
Naomi grew up in Houston and went to Sam Houston High School. Naomi was a member of the marching band playing the bugle and snare drum and was part of the Black Baton squad. She grew up during the depression and WWII. During this time, she had a multitude of jobs consisting of selling shoes; switchboard operator; and worked for the air raid during WWII. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Frankie L. Dichero, and they had three children. She retired from Hughes Tools in 1986.
Naomi was a strong-willed, warm-hearted person who carried the weight of many and never complained; never asked for much but gave everything she had. She enjoyed sightseeing, nature and road trips and loved her family unconditionally. She left a big emptiness and will be missed dearly.
The most precious moments and memories were spent with her family. She always had unlimited time for her grandkids and great-grandkids. Many family dinners included Ravioli's for the children and cheerios, mozzarella cheese, apples and oranges were on standby for snacks. Harry and the Henderson movie was always rewound and ready to be watched again and again and she was always interested in what was going on in your life.
Naomi is survived by her loving husband Frankie L. Dichero; son, Frank A. Dichero; son Tommy Dichero and wife Stephanie; daughter, Nancy Schram and husband Donnie; grandchildren, Thomas and wife Laura, Susan and husband Robert, Daniel and Colton; Great-grandchildren, Reagen, Kanyon, Ella and Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathrine Nabors.
Pallbearers: Thomas & Kanyon, Colton, Robert, Daniel, Donnie and Curtis.
