Temple Beth Shalom presented A Tribute to Marilyn and Roger Friedman on May 1, with 240 people gathered at the Hyatt on Capitol Square. To honor the Friedmans for their service both to Temple Beth Shalom and the Central Ohio community, Carol Luper of WSYX served as emcee, OSU President Gordon Gee gave opening remarks, and Rabbi David Saperstein, director and counsel for the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, D.C., gave the keynote address. The event raised nearly $50,000 for youth education programs at the temple. Tickets were $100, with patrons giving up to $5,000 each. (Photography by Adam L.
