We have volunteers and clients from the orthodox communities; and we have volunteers and clients who do not practice their Judaism.
We also have both volunteers and clients who are not Jewish but who, for whatever reason, want to be involved with a Jewish bereavement counselling service.
MANAGEMENT
Ahada Bereavement Counselling is a registered charity and we have Trustees who meet four times a year.
We are run by a Management Team of four, consisting of two qualified psychotherapists and two long-term volunteers who guide the activities of the organisation and ensure that both clients and counsellors are supported appropriately.
FUNDING
We are fortunate to receive annual funding from the Jewish Joint Burial Society who have generously supported the activities of Ahada for many years.
Many clients also make donations to us, either while they are receiving their counselling or once the counselling relationship has come to an end.
There is no requirement for clients to do this but it does mean that we are able to continue to provide our service to others who are struggling with their grief following the loss of a loved one.
We aren’t always able to answer the phone so please leave a message and we will call you back. When we ring, we’ll ask you some details and then we will be able to match you with one of our volunteer counsellors.
