Very cool, but a little small, makes my thumbs cramp.
Those of us of a certain age will remember growing up with 1st and second generation hand held consoles like the GameBoy and whatnot. There is definitely a nostalgia factor with these new cheap handheld Linux(!) gaming devices. Who needs to spend $300 on a Switch when you can have all the arcade games you grew up playing in the palm of your hand? This is an R36S Handheld Game Console with a 3.5 inch 640x480 color screen. The resolution isn't all that great, but the small size makes up by squishing all those pixels together to make it legible. Definitely not high def, but hey, you're playing old 16-bit arcade games here. Plus that's part of how they get the price down to <$90.The hardware running this little dynamo is a 64-bit ARM Cortex A45 CPU, running at 1.5gHz max, with 1GB of RAM. I think your basic Raspberry Pi is going to be more powerful, but comes in a much different form factor and requires a lot more setup to game with. This is ready to go out of the box.After powering it on, it takes 10-15 seconds to go through initial startup before you can get to the option screen. After that you can select from the large list of pre-loaded games. You'll recognize a bunch and the rest, maybe not so much. However if you know where to look, you can download more games onto the memory card that ships with this device (provided you have the appropriate card reader and computer to download them).The battery is claimed to last anywhere from 3-5 hours. I haven't been able to test that limit as my hands cramp up after playing for 20 minutes. I'm old. :( Suffice to say, the battery life on this is plenty long enough for my gaming purposes.Recommended, but you may want to exercise your hands and thumbs beforehand so you don't get cramps like me. :P

Analog sticks where scratched somehow and a small piece of plastic came off of my left one. It's good I waited some time to properly review this device because I have been having battery issues with it. Today as I attempted to charge, the battery is dead after 1 month of use. I have disconnected and reconnected the battery multiple times but nothing, Might be possible its a faulty battery which is replaceable but for the average user this is most of the time more trouble than it's worth. The seller did great, and shipped very fast but I'm not sure if its a quality control issue with the company making these so I'll leave my review at a 3 star.
The one i was sent has some issues. Great performance but not high quality parts

Let me start off by saying the R36s is a pretty good handheld for it's asking price, able to play all the way to PS1 and DS. Have not tried any N64, dreamcast, etc. since those are a bit more demanding and not what I wanted the device for anyway. The buttons and analog sticks are decent enough, the back triggers are very loud and require good amount of pressure to press.
