Dr. Henriques is an Acupuncturist and founder of Acupunk NYC. In practice for over three years, she takes an integrative, creative, and individualized approach to medicine where you are at the center of your healing, you learn, and are empowered to be the pilot of your own life and health. Today she applies the successful techniques she has learned and developed into healing pain conditions, structural imbalances, skin conditions, digestive disorders, fertility, etc. Through patient education, Dr. Henriques guides you to create and live a healthy lifestyle.

Acupunk NYC hopes to continue to grow and evolve into an integrative wellness center that inspirits patients to know the multi-faceted wisdom of Chinese Medicine.

Originally set in the heart of the West Village, Acupunk NYC now relocated to the borough of Metuchen, NJ.

CV Highlights

• Dr. Henriques is a Kean University Alumni, where she undertook a pre-med course of study and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art

• Committed to her learning experience, Dr. Henriques volunteered over 500 hours at Children’s Specialized Hospital and JFK Hospital’s in-patient and out-patient clinics where she worked with the Brain Trauma (BTU) Team and Rehabilitation Therapists in treatment.

• Led by her endless curiosity, Dr. Henriques was also part of the Research Team at Children’s Specialized Hospital, collecting data for Adaptive Aquatic Therapy. Alexandria also earned her Reiki Certification from Holy Fire Reiki https://www.reiki.org/what-holy-fire-reiki

• While earning her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in 2019, Dr. Henriques continued her studies in Dermatology (Advanced Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture) with Shellie Goldstein where she mentored with pioneers of the field including Mary Elizabeth Wakefield.

• Graduated with her Doctorate in Acupuncture in 2022 from Pacific College of Health and Science.
