Back in July the Qatar-based shipping group Milaha announced that CEO Khalifa Ali Al-Hetmi would retire in September after serving 31 years at the company, seven of these as Chief Executive. The carrier was thus looking for a new CEO. He has now been found. Adbulrahman Essa Al-Mannai takes over the reins of the carrier, effective from September 13th, informs Milaha in a press release.

Al-Mannai has previously been head of commercial planning and disposition at Qatargas, where his responsibilities included the company's role in the British South Hook LNG Terminal.

"Given his robust commercial background, his experience in many of our core sectors, and his record of performance at Qatargas, the Board and I have full confidence in his abilities to continue Milaha’s strong performance and lead our future growth plans," says Milana chairman Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani.
