- Abstract
This article aims to show how some technical aspects of book printing conditioned the publication of certain lexicographical works in the Golden Age, and how this modified contents and changed the way they were transmitted to us. Thus, we observe incorrect word separations when typesetters did not know the Spanish language in detail, the adoption of other spellings for <ñ> in printing houses of other European countries, the elimination of entries or equivalences when there were changes in typeface families, or the reuse of title pages. To illustrate these bibliographical aspects, we present the cases of Willem Vorsterman's trilingual vocabulary of 1520, Jean Palet's dictionary and changes in those of César Oudin and Trognesius.
