The food here is amazing! Every dish is always fantastic. My only complaint is that one of their team members Lily always has a bad attitude. She does not look like she enjoys her job. The owner and the rest of the team are so awesome!

We were on our way out to Joshua Tree National Park and stumbled upon El DFectuoso for breakfast. It is a small little cafe in a strip mall. It has a bit of a diner feel to it, but don't let that change your mind.
We were seated right away and handed menus. The choices for breakfast are a lot and everything looked and smelled delicious. We each settled on our meals, placed our orders and before we knew it, our hot plates were placed in front of us.
Mr. B went with the Huevos a la Mexicana. It was spicy, and woke up the taste buds, but scrumptious. The plate had scrambled eggs with Pico de Gallo mixed in and there was rice and beans. He had coffee and our server kept his cup filled. I chose the Red Chilaquiles medium hot, and it was spicy but in the most perfect way. I had two scrambled eggs, shops with red sauce and topped with Queso Fresco, with rice and beans on the side.
Everything was well seasoned, spicy but not in a mouth burning way, fresh and full of authentic Mexican spices and flavor. Would we eat here again, yes absolutely, and you should too.
Parking was easy since it was located in a strip mall.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vida C.Norco, CA010May 3, 2024
Im very sad to give this place 2 stars after reading such great reviews. I hope it's taken as constructive criticism.
The service itself was amazing. Very polite & welcoming.
The place is very clean and organized.
However, the food was a huge disappointment for me. I was sadly dissatisfied.
I ordered the taco plate:
Tortillas were cold. Could stand up and walk off my plate if they could.
The meat was very bland and also cold.
The rice and the beans were lukewarm but it had a microwave taste.
The portions were very small.
The Jamaica drink was very very sweet. Very concentrated.
I didn't have a great experience and I hope the restaurant works on these things because it is a beautiful and clean restaurant.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Val P.South Bay, CA019May 8, 2024
I'm disappointed, I read some of the reviews and decided to give this place a try. But it's a no go for us, the asada meat was dry and had no flavor at all. Our waitress was nice and attentive.

I've been here several times, and today I finally remembered to leave a review. I highly recommend this place for anything, but my favorites are the breakfast chilaquiles and the entire breakfast menu. The crepes are a must-try, and the staff is exceptionally helpful and fast. You won't regret it! And the ambiance it's really nice super chill place

Solid place to enjoy food. The dead giveaway that made it known this place would be good is when they brought out the sauces. All of them were good
The food portions are solid and the burritos are not over stuffed to where they collapse and ruin the experience.
Would definitely recommend it as a solid spot to visit even if only once.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Charles A.Loma Linda, CA61653Apr 27, 2024
The food is very basic. Small portions very small. They seem to be stingy with their food. And the Al pastor taste nothing like Al pastor.

Was coming back from Palm Springs and craving Mexican Food. We found this gem of a restaurant with great ratings. So glad we stopped because the food was amazing and the prices are too! Not only good food, but the staff was so nice and welcoming. We will definitely make the drive back to this restaurant!

We were driving from Joshua Tree National Park on the way back to LA and were hungry for some tacos halfway through the trip. We saw this place as it had a lot of reviews and this place did not disappoint. Our server was so friendly while we have our 13 month old. We ordered the AL pastor tacos which were so delicious and amazing. We also ordered the Carne asada which was equally savory. The place was very clean and had great parking availability. We would love to come back again. We highly recommend this Mexican restaurant for other travelers on their way to Joshua Tree national park.
