Ace Taxi

After not being able to get an Uber/Lyft from the airport due to the crowds, I ended up trying to get a taxi. My driver from Ace taxi was friendly and helped me with my bags, and we chatted the whole way back to my place! The car was clean and comfortable, and he let me know what the price for the ride would be before we left the airport.

Though the price was a little more than Uber/Lyft normally charges, it was worth it because I didn't have to stand around and wait. I usually don't use taxis, but good to know that Ace taxi is an option!

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. I booked a trip from home to the airport on 10/7/22 online and it was confirmed for 5:15 am. I received a phone call from the driver on 10/7 at 4 am asking if I was ready. He woke me up at 4 am and I told the driver I needed to get ready and the earliest for my 5:15 am pickup would be 5:00. He said OK and hung up. I called Ace back at 4:45 am and was told I canceled my pickup. I told him I
Did not cancel. He told me "you must have filled out a survey and canceled". Again, I told him No I didn't cancel. I asked if they were going to pick me up as scheduled- 5:15 am and he said NO. I then received 2 emails showing my reservation was canceled.
NEVER USE ACE TAXI at 216-361-4700.

I think I got up charged a little bit but the price was still reasonable and my taxi driver was a good guy. $40 airport to Ohio City during pouring rain was comparable to uber / lyft prices

SUPER SKETCHY business! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Driver was friendly, but of course, was overcharging me, so why wouldn't he be friendly? I got in at CLE airport, as the hotel's phone lines were down & couldn't reach them for my (free) shuttle. Asked the driver if he would be doing mileage rate or flat fee. He stated - mileage, yet never turned on his meter. A minute into the drive to the hotel (3 miles away!), i asked why his meter was not running & he THEN said, " Oh, it's a flat rate!" I said, "Oh really, you just stated it was by mileage since it is only 3 miles!" He said, "NO, we do flat rate & it's $20.- !! I said, "It states on the sign at the airport, right by the Taxi stand inside, that 0-5 miles is $15." He told me, "no, it will be $20." I then said, "well, I will not be paying you a tip for a 3mi./$20. ride & i will call your company today or tom'w & let your mgmt. know about this! This is very unethical & not right that you lied to me!"
Called ACE Taxi & the dispatcher said ride should have been no more than $10 for a 3 mi ride. I kindly asked for a mgr./owner to call me back. Never heard from them; got a reply from my Square receipt after complaining & said they are sorry driver was "not careful." I said, "he lied & overcharged me, he was unethical & I expect a partial refund." Ghosted me. He wrote back again & said it will not happen again! Too late; Will never use them again. Too bad I didn't see Yelp reviews before I used them. DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ABUSE their customers with lies, then don't respond. VERY SKETCHY business, at the LEAST!!

They never showed up to pick me up after my doctor appointment. Worse yet, they never called with updates or to explain why they did not show up. I called 6 times and was never able to get through to a person. I had to walk many miles home. The ride was planned 24 hours before hand and was confirmed twice via texts.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Ordered a ride on a Sunday night at 11pm. Waited for an hour and they never showed up or called me, or answered the phone when I called to see what was going on. I eventually called Uber. What a joke..

Super sketchy. Three days prior to departure I booked a taxi to the airport for an arrival time of 4:15am. The price quoted was $40.04. Overnight into the morning of my departure, the price was increased to $51.91 with zero notification or explanation of the price increase. I ended up cancelling and taking an Uber instead. I think it's poor practice to increase prices last minute with no notification or explanation.

I booked with Ace Taxi a few days early for a ride to the airport. Online, the price was quoted at $61.60. The day before the trip, I get a call from Ace Taxi saying they are sorry that the prices online have not been updated and that the actual price for the service will be $88.90. That is a 44% increase. That isn't an oversite. That's the result of management that does not care about their customers. They falsely advertise the price for their service and expect people to just accept the dramatic change shortly before providing the service. If I could give negative stars like any dishonest company actually deserves, I would. I cannot give negative stars so I'll stick with giving 1 star. Do not use this company if you care about your money!

Was absolutely terrible and the worst service ever driver 1463 needs to learn manners.

Used the website to book a van to and from the airport for my family of 7 plus baggage. The trip to the airport was at 5:30am, and the driver arrived early, backed in the driveway and handled everything. Give him 5-stars!

Return at the airport was worst experience ever! Send a mini-van that couldn't accommodate all of us and baggage. The driver could have cared less. Told us they "had a new system, and the dispatcher screwed up". So? Couldn't locate a second vehicle, and couldn't take some of us (we live 12-minutes from the airport) and return for the rest (would charge us two trips). He did offer to return to base and get the van - but we'd need to wait another 45-minutes. Finally cancelled and took two Lyft rides.

Ace was non-responsive for my refund request for their foul-up and inconvenience.

POOR SERVICE. Would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND. They don't care.
