This 1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer is a long-bed 4×4 example that was registered with one owner until 2022, and it shows 88k miles. Powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, it is finished in Medium Bronze over tan upholstery, and it is equipped with 15″ machined wheels, fog lights, a sliding rear window, a spray-in bed liner, air conditioning, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. Service in 2022 is said to have included replacing the valve cover gasket, transmission pan gasket, shock absorbers, and the front brake rotors and pads as well as the rear bumper and inner door seals. Acquired by its current owner in November 2022, this Comanche is now offered by the selling dealer on consignment at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, floor mats, tow balls, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Dakota title in the owner’s name.
The truck is finished in Medium Bronze (CP) with Pioneer side graphics and black bumpers, mirror caps, and bodyside moldings. Equipment includes fog lights, a fixed antenna, a sliding rear window, and a spray-in bedliner in the 7′ box. The rear bumper was replaced in July 2022. Flaws on the grille and tailgate, a ding under the right taillight, and a scratch on the roof are shown below in close-up photos of the body panels and trim.
Ten-spoke 15″ wheels wear 235/75 BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A tires showing 2022 date codes. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The selling dealer reports that the shocks, brake pads, and rotors were replaced in 2022.
The bench seat is upholstered in striped tan cloth with vinyl trim over color-coordinated carpets. Cab equipment includes air conditioning, a locking glove box, all-weather floor mats, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The door seals are said to have been replaced in July 2022, and blemishes are noted on the seat belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 88k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the current owner.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 177 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a Command-Trac dual-range transfer case. The valve cover gasket, transmission pan gasket, transmission filter, and engine oil were replaced in 2022 according to the selling dealer.

Manufacturer’s literature and spare keys accompany the truck along with other items shown at the end of the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in South Dakota, with a gap in entries between 1988 and 2000.
