The Barbado da Terceira is an American Kennel Club (AKC) Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breed and your puppy will come with AKC papers. The FSS is a program that recognizes and registers breeds that are not yet fully recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC). The FSS allows these breeds to participate in Open AKC Conformation events, which showcase the breed’s unique characteristics and adherence to breed standards. The FSS is designed to help breeders develop and improve our breed while also providing a pathway to full AKC recognition.
