Full Biography

Faria Nasruddin is a program associate for the Middle East Program and project lead for the Middle East Women's Initiative at the Wilson Center. Her research focuses primarily on women and gender but also touches on security, economic development, and civil society inclusion. Prior, she worked at the Middle East Institute as the program and events manager and for the Overseas Development Institute as a research consultant, where she published a landmark review of gender norm change via broadcast media. She holds an MA in Middle Eastern studies from Harvard University and a BA in history from Bowdoin College. Faria is fluent in Portuguese and professionally proficient in Arabic.
