Description
A clump-forming, bushy perennial or sometimes biennial, woody at the base. Grows on calcareous soil.
Flowers
The conical, slender flower spike has many small flowers. Each individual flower is pale yellow with 6 petals and sepals and 12-13 stamens. Petals deeply lobed, upper petals with 3 lobes.
Leaves
Pinnately lobed leaf with lobes both sides of a central midrib. 3-5 long narrow lobes with undulated margins, rough.
Fruits Seeds
Capsule: 7-9 mm long.
Edible
Leaves: cooked or raw.
