WICHITA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) will reveal an announcement about cashless tolling during their virtual event on Friday, April 5.

According to KTA, KTA CEO Steve Hewitt will hold a virtual announcement at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 5. The announcement will be hosted on Facebook Live.

KTA said for the past four years, they have been sharing updates as it works to convert the 236-mile toll road to cashless tolling in July 2024.

KTA indicated with nearly 37 million trips taken on the Kansas Turnpike last year, with half of those from out of state, KTA recognizes the importance to communicate changes both locally and nationally.
