Item #47401 This Egyptian Miracle or The restoration of the lost speech of Ancient Egypt by supernormal means. Frederic H. WOOD.

This Egyptian Miracle or The restoration of the lost speech of Ancient Egypt by supernormal means.

London: John M. Watkins, 1955. Second Edition, revised. Hardcover. Octavo. 256pp. Red boards lettered on spine, glossary, general index, appendix, b&w hieroglyphics, music scores. The author, Dr. Frederic H. Wood, is most widely remembered on account of his advocacy of the mediumship of "Rosemary," a young woman of his acquaintance who was said to have channeled messages from an ancient Egyptian princess who communicated in the language of ancient Egypt, which Wood and A. J. Howard Hulme worked to "translate" into English. Wood felt that the "Rosemary Case" was real proof of survival after death and outlines the details of the case in this volume. Cheap post-war production - issued without free endpapers. Light rubbing and bumping to corners and edges, foxing to page edges and first and last leaves. Overall a tight, unmarked about VG+ copy in better than VG dust jacket (Dust jacket a bit faded at spine, edges chafed, price clipped). Item #47401
