Deborah, we suggest purging your filter pump or backwash your sand filter.  until all the air is removed from the vacuum hose. It keeps getting air in the hose so it loses suction what can I do?

Yes, as long as the filter pump for your pool filters at least 1000 gallons of water per hour. Will this work on a 30 feet above ground pool? There is 23,800 gallons of water in it..

We are not familiar with the Mainstays pools, our flowclear AquaClimb Automatic pool vacuum includes 3 adapters that are universal to most above ground pools, but without knowing the size or shape of the pool inlet where the vacuum hose will be connected to there is no way for us to tell if it will work. Great Tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is going to be a review of the product for for a slightly different use. However, the way I am using it is getting far more use than it would cleaning a swimming pool for humans. I have three dogs and they love water so they have a small pool they are able to use at anytime. That being said you can imagine the dirt that collects in their pool. I used to have to drain the pool and clean it every couple weeks but now I am able to use this pool cleaner every couple of days to keep it nice. The directions for setting it up on your standard pool are easy to follow and since my set up is very similar it worked without issues. If you have a small above ground pool I would seriously consider this. The quality seems to be very good in this product and I suspect it will withstand the test of time for my use.

We been using a handheld push one that took up a lot of time and effort and was exhausting to spend hours outside cleaning the pool . I love that I can set this up walk off and come back at a later time and my pool is clean from leaves and fallen debris from my neighbors trees . Setup is easy and usually only takes me a few minutes to get it up and running . I love the harder style hose beings it doesn't constantly fill up with air like my previous one I was using . It gets the job done quick and allows us to spend more time by the pool and less cleaning

Saves so much time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pool cleaner appears to do a good job when connected to the pool skimmer. The hose length allows for a far reaching clean to happen. It certainly makes it easier to clean your pool. It appears to do a great job on the pool bottom and sides.

Automatic Pool Cleaner

I'm returning because the instructions on how to assemble and connect to filter are confusing and I don't think it works for my particular 1000 gallon filter. The instructions say it should be I can't figure it out.

Hard to assemble/doesn't connect

Returned item did not come with instructions that you could understand and did not work once we tried connecting it to our filtration system. Would not recommend.

Bad Choice

Poor design, or at best an incomplete design. It goes around the pool in one direction and coils the flimsy hose up and stops moving, it won't change direction without help.  I'm constantly having to untangle it from itself. It needs a skirt on the base like all other cleaners of this design so it can more effectively and efficiently vacuum the bottom (kind of like, why use a wisk broom instead of a full broom to sweep a floor?) A better quality stiffer hose would most likely prevent a coiled up entanglement, as I believe the hose is what "helps" these to change direction.

Can't be left alone, might as well vacuum manually

Had to remove the internal filter immediately.  I shut down one side of our suction, so that was not an issue.  It just didn't do a good job.  I have had a Kreepy Krawly in the past, and it was amazing.  This thing just sucked.  It's cheaply made, and not worth buying.  It moved around on the bottom, but it wouldn't even attempt going up the sides.
