love the compatibility with the bolt on series!  my bolt on motor finally burned out from excessive use and too much dust getting into it while working with it.   I've had this as my replacement since 2018 and it's still going strong and another great plus is the batteries also work on many other tools b

I needed a cordless drill that wasn't expensive but had enough power and features to do small jobs.  I am pleased with this model. The drill is lightweight, and easy to hold.  I haven't used the drill long enough to run the battery down, but the battery charges a bit after every use.   The initial charge took 3 1/2 hours.

Just the power and convenience I was looking for.

My husbands old one ( so old don't remember how old) gave out so nought a new one and it's great. It's also a really good deal. You buy this and of course it comes with a battery and charger. Which is great since we have several BnD products that use these same lithium batteries.

Black and Decker drill (products) always a winner

This is fairly lightweight and easy to handle. The charge lasts a long time.  I was able to drill holes in the bottom of 12 planters, using diamond bit drills, so excess water could drain out. I have a few other projects I can now tackle with my drill.

Love my drill

This is my 2nd matrix drill. My first one is still going but I got tired of moving it from my car to the house. So now I have one in both places. I've had the first one for about 6 yrs. I am a true fan of Black and decker tools. I bought my first one, a cordless string trimmer, in 2014. I have used it the last 5yrs on our 3 acre property that we moved to in 2018. Moving there, I found I needed a hedge trimmer and bought the cordless version.  My only complaint on it is , I can't find anyone to sharpen it.  It would be great if replacement bars were available. Keep up the good work.

Extremely reliable tools

Read many reviews and went for this drill and I literally just put the battery on charge. I truly hope it works the way everyone says. I love it and Definitly can't wait. I know I'm reviewing before even using it but I am glad all the good reviws and can't wait to use it. Thanks for all the good reviews...Hopefully I'll be able to update my post in a few days as I have 13 Cameras to install in and outside my house. Just got it!!

When it comes to power tools and working with wood, I hadn't touched either since the fourth quarter of my 6th grade introduction to shop class.

But after my dad passed away about five years ago, finding a hobby that I always wanted to share with him was a big motivation.

That's where the Matrix came in.  I had little no experience with a lot of power tools and woodworking equipment.  But with the Matrix, I found a way to sort of bridge the gap from inexperienced to somewhat handy when it comes to my new found hobby/passion.

From the router bit to the jig and circular saw attachments, I was able to learn a lot through trial and error with basically idiot proof equipment.

I've now completed a couple of neat projects for my wife's classroom, and have a few more planned for Christmas this year.

Thanks to the Matrix system, I'm able to do a few things I probably wouldn't have been able to prior.  If I can go from lost to knowing what I'm doing, so can you.

From inexperienced to somewhat handy...

Great drill as i always buy Black and Decker products... I bought a Dewalt cordless chain saw and right out of the box it doesn't work. had it to long to return it.

This is the second Black and Decker Matrix 20V drill/driver I have owned.  I have the circular trim saw, jigsaw, sander, router, oscillating tool, reciprocating saw, impact driver and hedge trimmer/shear attachments.  The ease of changing from one tool to the other during small to medium projects is WONDERFUL.  If you are a house builder/contractor, then this is probably not the tool for you, unless you have areas where a lightweight, cordless tool with changeable accessories is useful.  For those small to medium home/hobby projects that need several different power tools, the MatrixBlack and Decker Matrix 20V drill/driver is an excellent choice!  The first Matrix I had was the first generation design, and cutting major (3 to 4 inch) limbs with a 10 inch wood blade in the reciprocating saw attachment, while swapping batteries to allow running for long cutting sessions is really a job for a chain saw.  The dust and heat were too much for my gen Matrix (it really is a good idea to blow the dust out of the unit every once in a while, nad let it cool off!).  As soon as my first Matrix was brutally "done in", I had to get another one as soon as possible.  The new generation Matrix has more ventilation openings as well as an LED light that shines on the work area when the trigger is depressed.  I highly recommend the Black and Decker Matrix 20V drill/driver and attachments.

Cost effective way to have multiple power tools!

I haven't used the drill.  It was in a bubble bag. The end of the box was torn off, the cord was hanging loose inside the bag, the cardboard for holding the drill was inside the bag.  It 's probably not working or won't work very long. I'm afraid to even mess with it; I'll probably just send it back.  (If it's torn apart because someone else returned it you'd think the vendor would have respected the consumer enough to repack it before sending it to someone else)
