Step 6: CHANGING THE PITCH
There is one final adjustment you might need to make: Setting the pitch or angle of your awning.
Fully open the awning. Are you happy with the height and level of the front bar? If so, great!
You are done with the installation. Relax, and enjoy your awning.
If not, you can adjust the pitch or angle of each arm separately.
1. Fully open the awning using your crank or remote transmitter on motorized awning, unplug the power cord from the outlet after opening the awning.
2.Using 17mm wrench to loosen the two locking nuts on the side, then use 14mm wrench to loose
the jack bolt on the arm shoulder.

Now you could remove the safety sleeves from the arms.

Excellent quality. Very easy to hang, and a breeze to adjust. Will hang low out of the box. Just adjust while close to maximum setting (may have to tap a little with a hammer) tighten and enjoy.
All reviews regarding low hanging just didn't know how to properly adjust.

ALEKO retractable awning

For a low budget awning it works very well . Fabric is maybe a little heavier than your bbq grill cover. I'd say you probably get 5 years out of it with alot of sun exposure.  They do sell replacement fabrics. There are alot of reviews about trouble with installation or hanging improperly or low. This awning will adjust perfectly. You need some common sense and pretty decent mechanical abilities.  If you are unsure in the least bit do yourself a favor and hire a professional.  I own a CONTRACTING company and was able to do it by myself.  However I dont reccomend this. You really need 2 people.

Good product

Looks great and was relatively easy to instal thanks to fairly concise instructions included in the box.  It should be noted that metric wrenches or deep-throated sockets are needed rather than US standard imperial tools.

A rallly nice awning at a great price.

I like the awning but It came unassembled, the instructions were terrible which made it a pain to put together, it's a two person job. Once put together it's definitely nice.

This awning is okay for the price but I wish that we had saved the money and waited until we could afford a better awning. We have already had a problem with the material coming out of the roller, which took us over an hour to fix. I opened it a bit too far by accident and it popped right out of the roller. Also the side arms never tuck in properly and we have to manually put them in where they belong.

Awning is okay for the price but not great.

Several of the pre-drilled holes did not line up and had to be redrilled. I'm an experienced person used to complicated instructions and complex parts installation. While for the most part the instructions and drawings were reasonably clear, a few were simply wrong. Operated the awning twice. The 3rd attempt it would not roll straight. You could get it almost all the way closed with force but only with it bunched up and skewed to one side. Chinese product. Poor operation if operates at all is to be expected.

Doesn't close properly.

The Canvas is gorgeous and durable.  The instructions left much to be desired.  We have a difficult time assembling.  There were  extra parts not on our parts list which was confusing.
The awning is up but now we need to figure out how to adjust the pitch.  Thankfully there is something on u-tube.  We'll see how it goes.

Difficult to assemble.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The product was fine, what wasn't was finding out that the 12 foot awning I paid for was only 11 1/2 feet long and didn't properly fill out the space I built for.  I called the manufacturer and they said they would get back to me but as yet no response.

Measure the awning you received.

We didn't know we would have to build the awning ourselves.  Instructions were terrible.  It took us several hours to put together.  Of course the you tube video it suggested for help would not load.  My husband and I are 65 yrs old and this was just to much for us to handle even though we did get it together.  Would not recommend.

Not a simple install

It's fine if you have a 3 story house.  There is a 3 foot drop from the base to the end and unless you're 3 feet tall it will not work.   It took my very handy husband and father all day to come to this conclusion and now they're tearing it down so I can drag it in to Walmart to return it.
