Day 1: Aleria
Arrival in Aléria from Bastia Poretta airport.
Aléria, founded in the 6th century BC, is the oldest of the island cities and has many vestiges within it, testimonies of the passage of Mediterranean civilizations.
Start the city tour at the Fort de Matra located on the hill at the end of the village. Built by the Genoese at the end of the 15th century on an already fortified site, it has undergone many changes and has been recently restored. On the ground floor of the fort, visit the Jérôme Carcopino Museum which brings together a collection of objects from the pre-Roman necropolis and the site of the Aleria colony.
When leaving the fort, take a path to the right which leads to the ancient city. The excavations undertaken in the ancient part of the city made it possible to identify the forum and the base of the main monuments of the Roman city.
Start by seeing the forum (entrance from the north) then continue towards the Temple, probably built during the time of Augustus.
Further north, see the remains of a vast residence known as "Domus", the thermal baths and the antique shops. Facing the Fort, on the site of an old Romanesque cathedral, the Church of Saint-Marcel, partly built with stones from the Roman city. Breakfast. Visit the surroundings of Aléria.
Start at the Diana pond, 3 km north of Aleria, and taste oysters, mussels or clams.
Renowned since antiquity, breeding continues to this day.
At the mouth of the Diana pond, admire the Genoese tower.
Access by the track to the beach of Mare e Stagnu.
About 5 km south of Aleria, you reach the Casabianda Wildlife Reserve. Ponds, marshes, pastures, this area is bordered by junipers. This is the territory of the Corsican deer, reintroduced a few years ago to the island.
No visit possible to preserve the fauna.
Finally, take the time to stroll on Padulone beach, whose gray sand will surprise you (3 km east of Aléria). Night in Aléria.

Day 2: Ghisonaccia
Leave Aléria and take the road towards Ghisonaccia.
Visit of the Church of Santa Maria, a former parish church in Romanesque style dating from the 15th century which contains works classified as historical monuments.
Then go to the estate of Mavela (cofounder of Corsican whiskey) for a visit of the artisanal distillery and a tasting of authentic products.
Also worth seeing is the Urbino pond 9 km north of Ghisonaccia. This pond, one of the largest in the eastern plain, has been famous for its oyster farming since antiquity. Here, sedentary and migratory birds are king, it is advisable to follow the instructions to avoid destroying this ornithological wonder.
Breakfast.
In the afternoon, discover the waterfalls and natural swimming pools in the Bavella massif, try the unforgettable experience of canyoning supervised by professionals.
Second choice, let yourself be tempted by a donkey, horseback or quad ride through the Pinia forest or along the beach.
Overnight in Ghisonaccia.

Day 3: The coast of Nacres
Take the road to Solenzara.
The pearl coast encompasses three municipalities: Conca, Sari-Solenzara and Solaro. This region is remarkable for its diversity: beautiful beaches, rivers and mountain ranges. To see, the beach of Scaffa Rossa at the mouth of the Solenzara river and the beach of Canella.
On the mountain side, many family hiking trails await you.
Take the direction of Conca. Small traditional village nestled in a shell-shaped valley, it houses the GR 20 house.
To see, the Church of Saint Stephen dating from the 19th century and the beaches of Favona and Tarco. Lunch or picnic. Continue your tour of the region via Solaro, north of Solenzara.
Do not miss the passage to the San Giovanni tower.
Go to the square of the Church of Saint John the Baptist to browse one of the most beautiful panoramas in the area.
Finally, head to Solenzara, a small seaside resort with a family atmosphere, where life is good. Enjoy the beaches and the small marina, or choose one of the many walks in the surrounding area on foot or by car.
Overnight in Porto Vecchio.

Day 4: Direction the far south
Take the road towards Porto-Vecchio, the City of Salt.
Enter the city and let yourself be charmed by its small streets, its ramparts, its shops and restaurants.
Stroll on the marina.
Breakfast.
Take the Figari airport road towards Ajaccio.
On the way visit the small villages on the road: Sotta and Figari.
