Uses of Adant

Sodium hyaluronate salt is well known for its beauty uses. However, with each different dosage form, the drug can also be used for other purposes. Adant solution for injection is one of several dosage forms of this salt. So what is Adant and how should it be used?

Before learning about the effects of Adant, what is Adant along with?
Adant is an injectable sodium hyaluronate solution used to treat knee pain in patients with arthritis.
Each Adant medicine box includes 1 cylinder with a capacity of 2.5ml. Each syringe is pre-packed with a solution containing 25mg of Sodium hyaluronate and a number of other excipients just enough. The ingredient Sodium hyaluronate (or sodium hyaluronate) in Adant is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid - a glycosaminoglycan found in all cells, most notably in the skin, eyes, lips, joint fluid, cartilage, ligaments, ..
Sodium hyaluronate forms a viscous solution in water. The elasticity of this solution helps to absorb shock through the incorporation of molecules and provides tissue protection. This is important for the joint to function properly.
This Adant injection is indicated for arthritis patients who have been treated by other methods such as taking Acetaminophen, exercising or doing physical therapy but have not responded.

Your doctor will give this medication by injection into the affected joint, usually once a week with a syringe of Adant injection solution containing 25mg of sodium hyaluronate. 5 injections for a course of treatment.
Within 6 months no repeat treatment for each joint.
The process and environment for injection need to ensure the requirements of sterility.
Before giving the injection, the doctor may need to remove excess fluid from the joint. Dosage is based on medical condition and clinical response to treatment.
After Adant injections, you should avoid any activities that put pressure on your knees (such as jogging, playing tennis, lifting heavy objects or any activity that requires standing on your feet continuously for more than an hour). in 48 hours.
After the injection, the knee may be sore and swollen at first. But if pain or swelling persists or gets worse, talk to your doctor right away.
It is important to inject this medication on schedule, do not skip doses. Because it is possible that after the 3rd injection, the drug will bring into full effect.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you are allergic to Sodium hyaluronate or any of its inactive ingredients. Do not inject when the injection site is showing signs of infection (such as infection of the knee joint, skin infection, or surrounding areas). During pregnancy, Adant should only be used when clearly needed. Discuss the benefits and risks of taking medication with your healthcare professional. It is not known whether this medicine passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding your baby. There have been no reports of drug interactions occurring with the concomitant use of Adant with other drugs. You need to receive each dose of this medicine on schedule. If you miss a dose, ask your doctor right away for a new dosing schedule.

Along with the necessary effects, Adant can cause some side effects.
Check with your doctor right away if any of the following undesirable effects occur:
Less common such as: Cough. Difficulty swallowing. Dizziness or feeling faint (severe). Fever. Redness or pain at the injection site. Skin rash and/or itching. Stuffy nose. Swollen eyelids, lips, face. Chest tightness, shortness of breath, wheezing. The more common adverse effects of Adant injection : Diarrhea . Headache. Itchy skin. Eating is not appetizing. Nausea, vomiting. Stomachache . Knee swelling. Other side effects not listed may still occur in some patients. If you notice any other unwanted effects, check them with your doctor.
