Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger may have only started dating at the beginning of June, but both are apparently already very excited about the direction their new relationship is headed.
According to an Us Weekly source, Anstead is once again “excited about life and excited in general.” That excitement, they say, is of course due in part to his new romance, but also all of the big opportunities he has going on in his life right now. The pair reportedly first met last month while filming an episode of Anstead’s new Discovery+ TV show, Celebrity IOU Joyride, a Property Brothers spinoff in which famous guests give someone they love a one-of-a-kind car transformation. The insider continued, “Part of it can be because he’s dating Renée, but he definitely was excited about doing this project and he seems excited to do all the various projects he’s working on. You can tell he’s in a good spot in his life—he’s super happy. He seems like he’s on fire. He’s where he wants to be and is making things happen.” This blossoming romance is also good for his business as the source explained that Anstead and Zellweger's connection “brings more chemistry to the show,” they added, “He’s awesome and very charismatic. He’s successful because he’s good at what he does.”
And this week, the new couple have also been bringing that scene-stealing chemistry to the streets, running errands around Laguna Beach, lounging on balconies, and generally engaging in some light PDA. The two stars were photographed together for the first time last Friday while hanging out at the HGTV star's mansion, taking in the ocean views from his balcony while enjoying their morning coffee. On the Fourth of July, they embarked on a bike ride around their California neighborhood and, at one point, while stopped at a traffic light, Anstead could be seen leaning over to plant a kiss on the actress's neck. Another source previously told People that the spark between Anstead and Zellweger is undeniable. “Sometimes two people just meet and click, and the timing is right,” they explained. “Renée is creative...and often goes for guys who think out of the box. She’s smart, thoughtful and always looking to expand horizons and nurture those around her.”
