<p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Barbara Sue Rico, 76, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in a local hospital.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Born on March 1, 1945 in Livingston, TN, Barbara was a longtime resident of Chattanooga.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">She was co-founder of Rico Monuments where she managed the office for over 33 years.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">She was a faithful member of St. Elmo Church of Christ since 1976.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Barbara enjoyed working and rarely ever missed a day until she became ill.&nbsp; She was an avid cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">She was preceded in death by her parents, John Carlos and Lola Johnson Swann;&nbsp; sisters, Ann Norrod, Jean Swann, and Donna Ingram; and brothers, Billy &amp; Roy Swann.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Manuel &ldquo;Manny&rdquo; Rico;&nbsp; son, Tracey (Dainah) Rico;&nbsp; grandchildren, Blaine (Rachel), Ana, and Jake Rico;&nbsp; sister, Linda (Carl) Hodge; and several nieces and nephews.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 20th at 2:30 pm at Forrest Hills Cemetery with Minister John Cupp officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp; Pallbearers will be Tracey Rico, Blaine Rico, Jake Rico, and Tony Padgett.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">You may visit www.heritagechattanooga.com to express condolences to the family.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Elmo Church of Christ or to your favorite charity.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 19th from 4-8 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E.
