Ubisoft has lowered the system requirements for Assassin's Creed Mirage in advance of the game's October 5 release. This ninth-century Baghdad-set game appears to be quite lenient on technology, effectively going back a full graphics generation, which is contrary to the usual with AAA PC games these days.
The most recent AMD 7000 or Nvidia 40 series graphics cards are not needed to run the game at Ultra settings. However, the 'PC includes' trailer that goes with it includes Intel as a partner and confirms that it has been tailored for the Arc GPUs and the corresponding 13th-Gen processors. This seems like a strange decision considering that it's not a very well-liked graphics card among PC gamers.
Naturally, the partnership adds support for Intel's AI-powered XeSS upscaling technique, which allows for greater framerates without making too many compromises in the area of visual fidelity. Although the official blog article explains that gamers would be able to use AMD's FSR and Nvidia's DLSS to enhance their experience, no additional upscaling technologies were mentioned in the trailer.
Additionally, Assassin's Creed Mirage boasts uncapped fps at 4K resolution, which is a big claim given how poorly recent PC versions have been tuned. Another feature worth mentioning is hybrid input, which enables you to utilise a keyboard, mouse, joystick, "or other inputs," while still supporting widescreen and multi-monitor displays.
Assassin's Creed Mirage PC system requirements
Ubisoft provided the list of PC system requirements, with the most typical requirements being Windows 10 64-bit and at least 40GB of free SSD storage space. Even though Assassin's Creed Mirage may not be leaving Steam anytime soon, it's still important to look at the platform's monthly hardware survey to get a fair idea of what the average low-end PC gamer's setup looks like. And since Nvidia's GTX 1650 is listed there, we can conclude that the majority of gamers comply with the criterion.

After years of experimenting with the open-world RPG environment, Assassin's Creed Mirage is returning to its roots with a more condensed scope and a stronger emphasis on cunning stealth assassinations. You take on the role of Basim Ibn Ishaq, a supporting figure from Assassin's Creed Valhalla, who advances through the ranks of the Order of the Hidden Ones, evolving from a menial pickpocket to a dreaded assassin.
The game is therefore less expensive, costing $49.99/Rs. 2,499 on PC and Rs. 3,499 on console. A additional mission dubbed "The Forty Thieves," which I assume is a nod to the well-known Arabian folktale "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves," is available to pre-orderers. On the first day, it was also playable on Ubisoft's gaming subscription service Ubisoft+.
On October 5, Assassin's Creed Mirage will be released for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. Early 2024 also sees the launch of Apple iOS.
