She made her screen debut in the Australian drama film For Love Alone (1986) and then appeared in the Australian television series' Hey Dad..! (1990), Brides of Christ (1991), Home and Away (1991), and the coming-of-age comedy-drama film Flirting (1991)
After years as a struggling actress, Naomi came to attention in David Lynch's psychological thriller Mulholland Drive (2001).
After this she was cast in King Kong in 2005 and the rest is history.
Who was Naomi due to play in the Game of Thrones' prequel?
In October 2018 it was revealed that Naomi would head up the cast of the Game of Thrones prequel, The Long Night.
At the time HBO confirmed that Naomi was set to play "a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret."
However a year later in October 2019, it was revealed that The Long Night - starring Naomi - would be scrapped in favour of House Of The Dragon instead.
