Effective, Cool, and Collected: Why Guapo is Texas' Next Lone Star

The Lone State state has had it's fair share of wins in the past couple of years. The expansion and the sure-will to win with artists from Houston to Dallas/Fort Worth to San Antonio and beyond, Texas has shown a lot of promise with the different forms of music it's been offering. While there are many things to rave about for Texas, the spotlight for this will be "stuck" on the "City of Drank".
While the location for this story will stay in Houston, the topic at hand won't cover the iconic sound that has made Houston known. So many new artists from the city who are scratching the surface, Guapo has to be one of the hardest working new artists that has made a profound impact on the city's evolving sound.
While the "One/Two" style of rap has made a huge wave on the way that Texans deliver their music, Guapo has made sure to hone that style and made it into his own with his cool persona + unique voice he brings to each single. No matter the pace of the single, Guapo chooses to keep it cooler than the ice blocks on an igloo with his delivery + clever wordplay.
Making a huge splash with his single, "Perkys" ft. D Flowers at the beginning of the year, Guap has made to keep a consistent run of material that not only goes viral during its time of release but also makes sure to have a growing fan base in the process. The fan fare behind Guapo has grown so fast to the point that people are recording and leaking out snippets and previews of his music before it releases (trust me it's a lot of material that has surfaced that has yet to be released). Whether it's the anticipation of Guapo's singles from his fans with screen recorded snippets to the crazy TikToks they make of him to Miami Heat guard, Tyler Herro dancing to "Perkys" during the NBA Finals, Guapo has mastered the art of gaining attention with good material and it's only a matter of time until more people around the world are familiar with one of the most witty yet chilled out artists to come out of The Lone Star state.
