Deal understood to be part of Ibrahimovic transfer
Alexander Hleb expected to go to Inter on loan

Samuel Eto'o's agent says the player has reached an agreement to join Internazionale.

The Italian club have been in negotiations with Eto'o and his agent for the past few days after Barcelona had an offer of €45m plus the Cameroon striker for Zlatan Ibrahimovic accepted. Alexander Hleb will also join Inter on loan. After today's meeting with the Serie A champions, Josep Maria Mesalles told reporters the deal is close to completion.

"It's done," he said. "We have reached an agreement with Inter. Samuel talked to [coach Jose] Mourinho yesterday and is very happy to be wearing the Nerazzurri shirt. All the details have been filed."

Reports suggest Eto'o has signed a five-year deal with Inter and will earn €10.5m a season. It brings an end to the 28-year-old's five-year stay at Camp Nou. Mesalles said Eto'o will join up with his new team-mates next week.

"It's complete harmony with us and the Nerazzurri club," he said. "We are very happy and satisfied. The deal's sealed, next week he will start working with Inter. As soon as he signs the contract he will be at Mourinho's disposal."

The agreement is likely to see Ibrahimovic move in the opposite direction. The clubs have yet to confirm the news but Inter announced this morning that Ibrahimovic's injury is not as serious as first feared. The Sweden striker was injured during the friendly defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday night but the club said he has only sprained his right wrist, albeit severely.

However Patrick Vieira's injury is more serious. The France midfielder has torn a ligament in his left index finger and the club will assess in the next few days whether surgery is necessary.
