In 1996, playwright Kenneth Lonergan penned the heartwarmingly foulmouthed, semi-comedic, almost tragic, eerily familiar (you probably get the point) This Is Our Youth. The very same year, Tavi Gevinson was born. And now, some 18 years later, she's set to star in the Broadway revival that's taking New York City by storm.

But Tavi wasn't always attracted to those blinking Broadway lights: The It girl got her start as a fashion blogger when she was just 11 years old, sharing her thoughts on runway collections, documenting her innovative outfits, and promoting an obsession with 90s television on a site she aptly titled Style Rookie.

It didn't take long for her to become the Next Big Thing, and before she even hit her teen years she was already sitting front-row at Fashion Week. At 15, she founded Rookie, an online collection of essays, editorials, illustration, and DIYs for teenage girls by teenage girls. She remains the editor in chief to this day and even issues yearly print editions called Rookie Yearbook.

It's enough to build a career on, that's for sure, but Tavi's not the type to rest on her laurels. And in fact, she has a passion that pre-dates her love of fashion: acting. After starting out in local theater productions in her hometown of Chicago, she went on most recently to film a supporting role in the critically acclaimed Enough Said, proving that she has the talent to match its all-star cast (James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, to name a few).

Now she's back in the spotlight, but this time she's living out her dream on stage with TIOY alums Michael Cera and Kieran Culkin, who both starred in the 2012 run of the show at the Sydney Opera House.

If you want to see her in action yourself, the show opens September 11 and lasts for 20 weeks. A word to the wise? Get your tickets ASAP, because with this much star power in one place, we're betting on a big hit.
