Text Analysis Response for ELA

We are excited to share yet another great resource to help your students with analyzing given text. This packet does align itself with the Part III of the NY State ELA Regents. We have included strategies that can also generally help students better extract information from a fictional text.

The activities in this unit are meant to support the Text Analysis Response essay from the NYS Common Core English Language Arts Regents Exam. The packet is meant to be used as a unit, each page building on the previous parts to ensure your students go into the ELA Regents feeling prepared.

This packet includes activities that include: Analysis of a task, Review of literary devices, Literary devices matching activity and practice questions, annotating mini-lesson, graphic organizer, sentence frames, outlines, etc.
