Description
These Spanish interpersonal speaking circumlocution task cards are a great addition to a unit on health and wellness! The cards have vocabulary terms related to a wide variety of topics related to the theme of health and wellness. The words are purposely more obscure terms, so that students are unlikely to know them. Students must use the strategy of circumlocution to get their partner to guess the term on the card. This is a great way to help your students realize they can speak in Spanish, even with a limited vocabulary!
Task cards can be used in so many ways in the classroom! Give these cards to fast finishers to keep them on task and working in the language. Set up circumlocution speaking stations or play a fun game of Taboo. The possibilities are almost endless!

❊ A student handout (in English) explaining what circumlocution is and giving some strategies for how to do it successfully
❊ A circumlocution strategy reminder card that can be printed out and placed at a station for reference. Both English and Spanish versions are included, and each come in both color and black and white.
