Also known as Barba di Frate or Roscano, Agretti are an ancient vegetable typical of the Mediterranean tradition. This vegetable is characterized by tubular and thread-like leaves, which are cooked like spinach to form a tasty side dish, rich in mineral salts. Agretti are also an excellent ingredient for savory pies or omelettes. Easy to grow, it can be grown both by transplanting and direct seeding. For transplanting, it is recommended to produce bunches by sowing about ten seeds per hole in the tray.
