Alzahra University’s Alumni Wins Gold Medal from Canadian Governor General’s Academic The recipient of the Governor General’s Academic Gold Medal, which recognizes the most outstanding academic performance of a graduate student, is MarziehBayeh, who graduates with a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics. She earned an average of 94.80 per cent and has been the recipient of numerous graduate scholarships and awards. Alzahra University’s Arts Faculty Member Receives Kyokujitsu Chujyusho Award Iranian painter, PariyvashGanji, have received the Japanese "Order of the Rising Sun" award, signed by Japanese Emperor Akihito, and an appreciation letter by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The badge and ribbon of the ‘Order of the Rising Sun’, known as ‘KyokujitsuChujyusho’, was awarded to Ganji at a ceremony at the Japan Embassy in Tehran on January 14. The Order of the Rising Sun, established in 1875 by Emperor Meiji of Japan, is awarded to those who have distinguished themselves in international relations, promotion of Japanese culture, advancements in their field and development in welfare or preservation of the environment.
