Dan Smeaton was named Vice President of Corporate Development in 2022. 

As vice president of corporate development, Dan is responsible for developing acquisition strategy and all aspects of the M&A life cycle, which includes sourcing, evaluating and executing acquisitions to support our acquisition strategy across Service Logic and its companies. He oversees valuations and financial and operational due diligence while managing legal, tax and relationships with sellers from beginning to closing. 

Dan joined Service Logic in 2017 as a manager of corporate development, performing financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets before being named director of corporate development. In this role, Dan was responsible for managing the entire acquisition process, as well as developing and implementing a streamlined process for company acquisitions. 

Prior to Service Logic, Dan served as an advisory manager for global accounting firm Deloitte, advising large strategic and private equity clients on buy and sell transactions. 

Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance and accounting from Elon University and is a CPA in the state of North Carolina. He also served on the Elon President’s Young Leadership Council.
