Alquin "Al" Kuechle
Cold Spring - April 3, 1943 – April 6, 2022
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Alquin "Al" Kuechle, age 79, who died Wednesday at St. Cloud Hospital. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. The service will be live-streamed at www.christcatholic.com.
There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.- 10:45 a.m. in the St. Boniface Church Narthex.
Al was born in Watkins, MN to Lawrence and Marie (Stommes) Kuechle. He married Mary Rothstein on September 11, 1965, in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring, MN. He served in the U.S. Army.
Al worked for 45 years at Cold Spring Granite Company. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, making maple syrup, being with his family, a good manhattan, and winters in Lake Havasu, AZ.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Karen (Bob) Kratz, Tom (Andrea); grandchildren, Traci, Danny, Rachel; great-grandchildren, Alex, Axton, Christopher, Benjamin; siblings, Ralph (Arlene), Edwin (Marilyn), Joe (Mary), David (Pam), Donald (Karen), Jerome (Trudy), Gary, Chuck (Joyce), Betty (Jim) Donnay, Rose Ruprecht, Joyce (Wayne) Mueller, and Helen (Larry) Krippner.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Lou Meyer and Lenora Clark.
Services are with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, MN.
