      Greg K Although the pace is slow and the dialogues plenty, the criss-cross cat-and-mouse game is fleshed out with depth and pathos. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/05/23 Full Review Johnathon W Powerful science fiction movie playing on the scary aspects of a totalitarian state that doesn't give any easy answer. The cast is uniformly excellent, probably realistic depictions of both terrorists and law enforcement, while the writer/director depicts a very gray and gritty world. You actually understand both sides of the story, as the police genuinely believe they are protecting the public good while the terrorists are fighting for freedom. Most interestingly, it doesn't really take a side, only showing how this kind of conflict devastates both. It is nicely mixed with some gritty action, especially when the Special Squad shows off their elite armor. One of the better and more mature anime movies.
