Ogunmakin emerges FCT NATA boss
Comrade Osho Ogunmakin has been elected the Executive Chairman of the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), FCT Chapter.
Ogunmakin at the weekend polled 63 votes to defeat five other contestants at the association’s congress held in Gudu, which also saw the emergence of Alhaji Sulaiman S. Noma as the Deputy Chairman having defeated two others for the position.
Spokesman of the association, Sola Olorunfemi, said nine other executive committee members were also elected by the 150 delegates.
Other elected officers are Comrade Yusuf Babatunde Gift as the General- Secretary, Comrade Adewunmi Adebayo, Assistant General- Secretary, Comrade Micheal Deji Olowo, Treasurer, Comrade Victor Adefija, Financial Secretary, Comrade Lawrence Paul Egwu, Welfare Officer, Daodu Oluwafemi, Assistant Welfare Officer, Adeyinka Adelabu, Public Relations Officer and Oluwole Micheal as the Assistant Public Relations Officer.
They all pledged to sustain the vision of the association and to contribute positively to the growth of the sector and nation’s economy.
NATA is the umbrella organization for all AutoTechnicians in Nigeria including Auto-Mechanics, rewires, battery chargers, sprayers, panel beating/body builder and have been playing strategic role in the nation’s automotive industry since 1999 in the FCT.
