Metro 2033, the quirky, post-apocalyptic shooter, garnered a cult following thanks to its setting and its often obscene difficulty. Metro: Last Light will bring us all back to that horrible place when it drops in 2013. It's a while, to be sure, but to ease the pain, THQ has made a live action trailer showing your characters humble origins. Who says a baby can't save the world?

It's a while, to be sure, but to ease the pain, THQ has made a live action trailer showing your characters humble origins. Who says a baby can't save the world? (And no, that's not you pictured above. Does that guy look like a baby to you?)

There's been some question as to whether Metro: Last Light will remain true to the original's roots, at least in terms of opting for ammo conservation instead of letting players blaze through it, rockets at full blast. Since no one outside of THQ or 4A Games has actually played it, it's still too early to say. But we can say it'll have a baby!
