Designed for good speech intelligibility, the 440-8 Thundering Mini is ideal for two-way communications on trucks, heavy equipment, boats, helicopters, etc. and provides excellent sensitivity as a microphone in talk-back systems. The 440-8 is a small re-entrant horn package with a powerful, efficient and durable compression driver which converts security system square wave torture into a high output distress signal. A heat sink coupled to the driver dissipates heat to maintain efficiency and endurance. Weather and corrosion resistant construction uses stainless steel fasteners and the plating on the driver meets a 96-hour salt spray test, while the horn itself is constructed of impact and UV resistant ABS. The adjustable mounting base will attach to a 3" electrical box. Flange holes allow for recessed or concealed mounting.
