Cirque du Soleil has landed in Portland and begun rehearsing and preparing for six performances split over four days from March 14 to 17.
The show, called Corteo meaning "cortege" in Italian, is based on a festive parade imagined by a clown. It first premiered in Montreal in 2005 and has appeared in more than 60 cities across 19 countries.
The French-Canadian organization first appeared in Portland in 2008 and stayed for six weeks performing in a giant big-top tent along the Willamette River waterfront.
Tickets are on sale and range from $57 to over $145. Family packages are also available.
