Sony has just announced that Crash Bandicoot will be making a return. Everyone's favorite bandicoot has been silent for quite a while now -- his last main series appearance was in Mind Over Mutant in 2008. It's been eight years since the wild hero was last seen spinning and jumping for Wumpa fruits, but he's back. The original Crash Bandicoot trilogy, including Cortex Strikes Back and Warped, will be coming to the PlayStation 4 in the form of full HD remasters soon.
For now, there are very few details about the Crash Bandicoot remastered trilogy other than the most important one -- the games are real and they will be launching on the PlayStation 4 soon. The original three titles saw Crash fighting it out against his creator, Doctor Neo Cortex, in lots of odd situations. Crash often jumped from 3D to 2D sequences on Wumpa Island, but the gameplay style never changed too much until the player took on the role of his young sister, Cocoa, and her pet tiger.
Crash was always a fun character when I was growing up, and life is better now that I know he's coming back in some of his best titles. Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back, and Warped will be available in the future on the PlayStation 4, but anyone looking to get their Crash fix in earlier can take the bandicoot for a ride in the PS4 version of Skylanders: Imaginators when it launches in October.
I keep getting told that Warped is a masterpiece, which makes me just want to play it even more now.

All we need now are the Spyro games remade.
The only thing I'm concerned about is that Shawn Layden said they are "being remastered from the ground up" which if anything sounds like fully-blown remakes, similar to the way Insomiac recently remade Ratchet and Clank, instead of simply remastering the originals and improving the textures. Whilst this could be good, it's tough to know how faithful they'll be to the originals. I'll buy it regardless but they'll never fully replace the originals for me. I just hope Crash in the remakes doesn't end up looking like his Skylander as I'll be extremely disappointed if that's the case.
gotenks don't wait for the remakes, go and download warped now. If you still have your PS3 it will be in the PS1 classics and will be 6 bucks well spent, honestly for that price you can't say no as it truly is a masterpiece. You'll be hooked.
